Intrusion detection system – Several incidents happened in schools in the past few years, most of which occurred accidentally or by intention. Such disturbing incidents at schools can be avoided using proper surveillance, which again is not limited to CCTV cameras and physical security. A security process in every nook and corner of the school premises is required, where technology can be put to good use. Having an alerting or an alarming system in place can prevent such incidents from occurring.
BRUNHILD security uses intelligent algorithms and uses various parameters to identify a risk or a threat and then raises an Alarm or an Alert to the nearest security, enabling them to take action on time.
Problem – Several incidents like accidental deaths, injuries, or suicides occur in restricted or no entry zones. These are the places where the students are not allowed to enter, but existing security is unable to prevent their entry. This is due to no or negligent surveillance or the use of old technologies to watch over the zones.
How we solve – BRÜNHILD system uses an algorithm paired with sensors that can sense the student’s movement. When a student moves towards a restricted or a no-entry zone, an immediate alert is sent to the security nearby to take immediate action. Several hazards can thus be prevented with timely action.
Problem – Fatal incidents often occur as they are noticed late. Lives can be saved when incidents or injuries are noticed on time, giving the school enough time to provide medical help.
How we solve – BRÜNHILD System senses any delay (in the movement, or when the student hasn’t stepped out of the bus or the washroom) and a Precautionary Alert is sent to the nearest security teams available, for action. The system can also be used to track students who intentionally stay back in classrooms or playgrounds.
Problem – There is no doubt that every school has an excellent physical security team which averts any intruders or outsiders from entering the premises of a school. This is to ensure the safety of the students and the staff. But, there are intruders inside the school who often sneak into no entry or other zones during the school hours, which again is a threat to the school and a risk to the students and staff.
How we solve – BRÜNHILD’s security engine is completely aware of the safety and security policies of the school. If anyone prohibits the policies, an alarm is sent to the security team. For example, a male sweeper or a maintenance guy near the girl’s washroom after his shift ends. Intruder activities and threats which are often unseen by physical security can be addressed by BRÜNHILD’s security engine.
Problem – Most parents prefer using school transport to pick and drop their children to and from school. It is their trust in the transport department, but several schools still use a manual process to drop and pick the students from respective stops, which can often lead to security threats. It is also important to have authorized persons to pick the junior students in the absence of parents.
How we solve – BRÜNHILD Security makes a note of the bus routes, the pickup and drop timings and locations of every student in every bus. Any change in the bus route or boarding or un-boarding of a student at a wrong location raises the alarm to the person in charge with immediate effect. The bus attendance is also reconciled with the school attendance, and an alert is raised in case of any discrepancy.
Problem – Using disparate security systems can make it hard for schools to manage or share the information with various stakeholders. For example, the GPS tracking system for school transport is only provided to the parent whereas the access to the attendance system is limited to the school. In such situations, it gets hard for a parent or a teacher to raise an alarm due to a security violation.
How we solve Brunhild Security uses an integrated system which provides different information view to various stakeholders. For example, access to the Security Team is only limited to alerts and alarms and no student information is shared with them. Parents get to know the last location of their child and a teacher can know the presence of a student in class and the reason if the student is absent. The data can be integrated in case of a risk to take immediate action and to avoid any life-threatening incident.
